Rare vintage Longines Ultra-Chron automatic wristwatch, part of the storied high-beat collection Longines introduced in 1967 to celebrate its 100th anniversary. This model runs at a rare 36,000 vibrations per hour — twice the rate of standard mechanical watches of the era — and was originally marketed as accurate to within one minute per month. The 10K gold-filled case shows honest vintage wear with light surface scratching consistent with age, and the silver dial retains crisp applied gold Arabic numerals with a date aperture at the 3 o'clock position. Watch has original crown. Signed "Longines Ultra-Chron Automatic" on the dial with the winged-hourglass logo. Currently fitted on a Speidel USA stainless expansion band (not original to the watch, but period-appropriate and wearable as-is). Upon request the watch can be fitted with a very nice upgraded brown leather band with gold accent, band is stitched and padded.
