1989 Tama Imperialstar 7-Piece Concert Series Drum Kit — Complete Vintage Setup

1989 Tama Imperialstar 7-Piece Concert Series Drum Kit — Complete Vintage Setup Selling my 1989 Tama Imperialstar 7-piece Concert Series drum kit. I’ve owned this set since 2004, and after starting a family I simply don’t play anymore. I’d really like to see it go to someone who will appreciate it, play it, and keep the original seven-piece set together. Drums • 13” Tom • 14” Tom • 15” Tom • 16” Tom • 18” Tom • 24” x 14” Bass Drum • 14” x 6.5” Tama King Beat Snare — Model 8006 • Parallel-action strainer • Seamless shell • 2mm-gauge snare bed • Powerful metal-wire sound • Special-steel construction using Tama’s multi-step manufacturing process This is a Concert Series kit, originally manufactured without bottom tom heads, allowing the open shells to accommodate individual microphones. Restoration / Condition I completed a full restoration in 2021. Every drum was completely disassembled and meticulously cleaned, polished, serviced, and repaired as needed so everything functions properly. All drum heads were replaced during the restoration. The kit was played only twice afterward and has been displayed since 2021. I intentionally kept the original shell coverings intact rather than replacing or refinishing them. They show some normal signs of age and use, but I wanted to preserve the character and patina of the original finish. No stripped bolts, no mystery repairs, and no guesswork — just an honest, clean vintage Tama set that is ready to play. Included Hardware • DW 5000 heavy-duty double bracedhi-hat stand • Pearl BC930 heavy-duty double braced boom stand • Original Tama heavy-duty double braced crash stand • Unbranded crash stand • Original Tama heavy-duty kick pedal • Tama LD kick pedal • Double kick pedal • Cowbell with mount • Chopper drum throne • Zildjian drumstick holder Cymbals • Paiste 20” Ride • Zildjian 14” Scimitar Hi-Hats • Zildjian 20” ZBT Crash • 18” Krut Crash Extras Also included are approximately 5–10+ sets of drumsticks — take them all. Most are around 5B thickness, and many are new/unplayed. For comparison, a recent set sold on Reverb for approximately $1,300 + $200 shipping for the shells and heads only. I’m asking $1,200 for the entire setup — all seven drums, cymbals, stands, pedals, throne, accessories, and sticks listed above. I’m not in a rush to sell. More than anything, I’d like it to go to a good home where it will be played and where the original seven drums will remain together. • Local pickup only • Offers in person only • I do not need help selling • If the ad is still up, it is still available • I will not separate the pieces under any circumstance. If your looking for a steel king beat snare, the ultra rare 16” and 18” toms youll have to buy the entire set, theyve been all together 37 years. If you’re serious, contact me to arrange a time to come see it. Price — $1,200 Firm
