Up for sale is a vintage 1920s C.G. Conn New Wonder Series I Eb Alto Saxophone made in Elkhart, Indiana (Serial #121182, manufactured circa 1923/1924). This is a classic Jazz Age American horn featuring original satin silver plating and beautiful hand engraving on the bell. Key Specs & Markings: Manufacturer: C.G. Conn Ltd. (Elkhart, IND) Model: New Wonder Series I Alto Serial Number: 121182 Pitch Stamp: "A" / "L" (Low Pitch A=440Hz – standard modern tuning, playable today!) Features: Drawn Rolled Tone Holes (PAT. DEC. 8, 1914) and split bell keys. Finish: Original Silver Plated with floral bell engraving. Condition: Selling AS-IS as a project / restoration horn. The body and keywork are in good structural shape for a 100-year-old instrument, but it will need a repad, tune-up, and mechanical overhaul to be in top playing condition.
