Frankenstein Valentine Stickers (1966) In 1966, Topps released a collection of horror-themed Valentine stickers illustrated by Norman Saunders. This collection mixed Valentine’s Day sentiment with the playful horror imagery popular in mid-century American novelty art. Saunders, known for his pulp magazine covers and trading card illustrations, brought his expressive characters and dramatic style to these unusual designs, turning traditional declarations of love into macabre jokes.
