Description

Description: For sale is a beautiful, high-quality original oil painting on wood panel (not canvas). This is an 18th/19th-century style "Capriccio" landscape, featuring dramatic Roman-style ruins, a rustic cottage, and small classical figures. Paintings on wood panels are more desirable and stable than canvas, allowing for the fine detail seen here. The piece is housed in a heavy, ornate gilded gesso frame that is a statement piece on its own. Details: • Medium: Authentic Oil on Wood Panel. • Style: Italianate Landscape / Architectural Ruins. • Frame: Ornate gold/gilt frame in great condition. • Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The panel is solid with no warping. • Markings: Includes an old estate/auction lot sticker on the reverse (1018b). • Dimensions: [ 19 inches Total Frame Width] x [18 1/2 inches Total Frame Height] Price: $399 Looking for a quick sale to a collector or someone who appreciates fine art.
