Mostly highway use and occasional trips back and forth to work. It has been regularly maintained and drives smooth. I have receipts for most of the work and they go with the truck. For a 20-year-old truck, it’s mechanically solid. I’m also listing everything I know it may need so there are no surprises. CONDITION PAINT: 2.5/5 BODY: 4/5 INTERIOR: 3.5/5 DRIVES/OPERATES: 5/5 KNOWN ISSUES / FUTURE MAINTENANCE • Hood paint is oxidizing • Normal age-related cracking/separation on some leather • Dash bezel is cracked — replacements are around $100 • Oil pan seal will eventually need replacement • Steering gearbox is wet around the seal but does NOT drip or noticeably lose fluid. Mechanic wasn’t concerned, so it stayed low on my maintenance list. • Rear window tint needs replacement • Sunroof does not work and is currently disconnected • #1 cylinder glow plug needs replacement. Easy access through passenger wheel well and wasn’t a priority in the Texas climate. • Rear air bags work, but I had planned to inspect the air lines and possibly replace the bags due to age. Bottom line: It’s a 20-year-old 6.0, so I’m not going to pretend it’s a brand-new truck. It has cosmetic imperfections and a few future maintenance items, but a lot of the expensive maintenance and upgrades have already been done.
