Custom Bronze Muonionalusta Meteorite Automatic Watch 42mm (WILL SHIP)

WILL SHIP Custom Hand-Assembled Bronze Meteorite Automatic Watch This is a one-off watch that I assembled myself using individually sourced and hand-modified components. It is not a production watch or a commercially manufactured microbrand piece. I built it as a personal project and I like to think that it came out pretty well. The centerpiece is the dial, which is cut from Muonionalusta meteorite, an iron meteorite discovered in northern Sweden. The meteorite is 4.565 billion years old, so it’s older than the Earth itself. Its natural crystalline Widmanstätten structure gives the dial its geometric pattern, each dial is truly one of a kind! The dial is housed in a 42mm cushion-shaped bronze case with solid lugs, a screw-down crown and sapphire crystal. Bronze can age and patina, so the case will continue to change in appearance over time. BUT, you can always restore the bronze to a rose gold hue by submerging it in Sprite. Sea-Gull ST2130 automatic mechanical movement, a 28-jewel, high-beat caliber running at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It can be hand-wound and hacked for precise time setting and has approximately 40 hours of power reserve. An ETA 2824 copy, this is near identical to a pt5000 but with better quality control. I chose a minimalist, high contrast two-hand layout to keep the meteorite dial visually uninterrupted. The watch is fitted to a cream FKM rubber loopless strap with a rose-gold-tone push-button deployant clasp. Although the case/components are rated as 200m, the completed watch has not been independently pressure tested, though I’ve submerged it numerous times without issue. The bronze case shows the natural surface variation and patina expected from bronze. Please examine all photographs carefully for the exact cosmetic condition of the watch being sold. The photographs show the actual watch you will receive. Do note that you can reverse the patina of bronze and return it to a rose gold coloration by soaking it in sprite for a few minutes.
