West Hills Chrysler fixed a recirculator door in May 2023. It broke again and the vehicle started making the same noise after several months. I brought it back in October 2024 to get it fixed inder warranty. When I picked it up, I asked if the two year warranty started over, and I was told that yes, it does. Within a few months or so, the noise started up again. I took it back in to get fixed December 2025. I put on the appointment when I scheduled online  that it was to fix recirculator door, which they had fixed before and is under warranty, and I asked for a phone call. I did not get a phone call and nobody told me that it was not under warranty.

I dropped the car off on a Saturday. I received the diagnostic on Wednesday with $1100 to fix the recirc door and related HVAC issue. I called West Hills to explain that it should be under warranty as it got fixed less than 2 years ago.  I heard back on Friday (Which was the next business day due to Christmas) that the warranty is only for 2 years from when they originally did the work and it did not restart as I had been told. Service consultant said it was not him who told me it restarted so he cannot do anything about it. No offer to discuss with a manager or offer another option.  It was also extremely frustrating that I specified I was bringing it for a repair under warranty and no one checked the warranty until they had had my vehicle for 6 days.
I declined the recommended service on Saturday morning as I am not going to pay to fix something that I was told would be under warranty for two years.  I was told Saturday afternoon that the van was still taken apart and would be ready for pick up in Monday morning.  I called at 10 am Monday morning and it was still not ready and I did not receive a call back for the rest of the day.  It was not done until Tuesday morning,  they had my van for 9 days.

In 2023 I got an oil change done at west hills Kia. Within a few days after the oil change we drove 800 miles to Montana. When we tried to leave again,  the Sorento would not start and there was no oil on the dip stick. It took me multiple attempts to reach a manager.  Once I did,  I explained that there was no oil on the dip stick and it had never gone through all of its oil in even the 3-5 thousands miles between oil changes,  so I believed they forgot to refill it when doing my oil change.  I was told "the box is checked that they put oil in it" and the manager explained there is a recall on the engine so once I hear a certain noise and check engine light comes on they will replace the engine and I can come in for top offs until then.  There was no acknowledgement that it's possible a box could have been checked without oil being refilled and not even an offer to refund my oil change.  They did fix it once the engine died,  but that was related to a recall and not the faulty oil change.

Be carful buying a car here. I purchased a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7
The car was spotless even the engine bay but that was to hide the leaky water pump. When I tried to use the full warranty I purchased I find out I actually have the one bellow a full warranty that only covers drive train and major engine components not a bumper to bumper like we discussed. Also it is a third party warranty they sell not the dodge company warranty. They will lie to you to sale a car. Purchase at your own risk

They come off as want to be so helpful. But at final paper work, they add SO MANY HIDDEN fees. SERVICE CONTRACT $4,500, GAP FEE $995, MAINTENANCE CONTRACT $598,  ROAD-VANTAGE $2,033?!?!?! CAL TEX Appearance $1,4999?!?!?! WHATEVER PRICE THEY HAVE ADVERTISED, EXPECT TO END UP PAYING DOUBLE THAT. I DO NOT recommend getting car from here. And will NEVER get a car from here again. I signed and agreed to one price. initialed accidentally where was supposed to sign. Distinctly remember being no more than $15,000 total for car. And then they ask me come In today and the final price ends up $24,000!!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE AND THEIR FAKE SMILES.

Update !!!! I have since gotten to talk to someone about cancing my extended warranty and they are being really helpful...first I was really pleased with the service i received I purchased a new honda accord with all every feature they offer even got a hybrid. When I bought the car I told the guy I was gonna be driving alot and he told me that the car would be the best option for long road trips. I didn't have more than 2500 miles on it when it almost left me stranded in the Nevada desert. I get the car back here and they tell me its just the cvt transmission and im not used to it. I don't care what kind of transmission it is when they get hot and won't shift outta 3rd no matter how high the rpms get there is a problem. They insisted there wasn't. So I sold the car but now I been calling for over a week and leaving messages because im trying to cancel my extended warranty that i purchased for $14k and change i have left voicemail messages messages with the receptionist message on the live chat feature on the website. And they won't call me back. They are not as helpful or caring as they pretend to be and definitely are only worried about their profit margins and not customer satisfaction. That will be the first and last time I ever buy a brand new car and definitely stay away from cvt transmissions upon researching its inherent with them to get hot and have issues.

i bought a car a couple weeks ago. driving home i noticed the temp guage would go to 3/4 and then drop down to below 1/2. ok. i figured maybe that's how the thermastat works on this model. 2010 malibu 3.6L engine. got home and could smell the engine was hot, radiator fans whirling away.  a few days later while my wife was driving she noticed the temp gauge went way into the red. she pulled over and noticed the coolant reservoir was empty. we filled it up and continued to monitor. there was a slow steady drip of coolant . most likely cause was water pump i figured. after texting with your so called chat assistant  about my problem ( actually 3 of them diego,asher,and james. ) each one said someone will look into it and get back to me. never happened. i ended up calling the service department and they said bring it in and we"ll run a diagnostic. i asked "as a reputable dealer and in good faith because i just bought the car ($12000) would you fix it for free" he said we"ll talk about it after we find out whats wrong. they did a pressure test and said the water pump needed to be replaced and showed me the quote for $1100. (NAPA sells the water pump for $143). we started talking about maybe trading back the malibu for something else .my wife and i were having some buyers remorse. we found a car we liked and we sat down and started talking numbers. they offered $4900 for the same car i just paid $12000 for less then 3 weeks ago. i felt insulted and said no way . they came again with a $7000 offer. another slap to the face. at that time i was so mad i just wanted my car so i could get the heck out of there. after a huge misunderstanding. i was told there would be no charge for the water pump. when i called him on it he said that was only under the condition i trade in the malibu and bought something else. well i must have missed that part. anyway they knocked $500 off the $1100 bill. and i relunctantly agreed. this was the 2nd car we'd purchased at west hills,and were planning on buying a third. but after this experience and reading similar reviews i'll be shopping elsewhere. i just want to add a shout out to sales rep Jo'el  (outstanding) and Megan (equally outstanding) but once you start getting above their pay grades .things start to deteriorate very quickly. * REVISE *   after speaking with the general manager he determined the whole situation could have been handled better. and in a gesture of good will and  appreciation of me being a past,present and future customer west hills paid for the water pump. they have earned back my respect and i look forward to our next vehicle purchase . i take back my 1 star  rating  and give them 5 stars.
