2009 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 — Clean Title — Replacement Engine Included — $2000 OBO CARFAX Price $12k Mechanic’s special / unfinished engine-swap project. Approximately 95,000 miles on the truck. 4.7L V8, automatic, 4x4. $2,500 takes the truck, replacement engine, and all included parts. I paid $4,000 for the donor engine alone, plus approximately $500 for additional parts. PLEASE NOTE: The truck does not run and is partially disassembled. It needs the engine swap and reassembly completed. Buyer must arrange loading and transport. THE STORY: I bought the truck at auction with frame rust, which we repaired. Before the engine damage, it ran great and the automatic transmission shifted smoothly. While reinstalling the fuel tank, we accidentally mixed up the EVAP and fuel supply lines. This caused fuel to enter the cylinders and hydrolock the original engine. I purchased a replacement engine on eBay from a rear-end-damaged donor with approximately 120,000 miles. We started disassembly for the swap, but the project stalled. It has been sitting for about eight months, and I no longer have the time to finish it.
