Not worth going to.

I live on the Big Island and recently purchased a car from them. I paid the deposit over the phone and completed the purchase in person — no drama, no haggling, very straightforward deal. I only had one simple request: please wash the car before delivery. I don’t think that’s unreasonable when buying a vehicle.

They clearly agreed and even told me that every car is cleaned before delivery. I was told multiple times, “don’t worry, we take care of that — just complete the payment.”

When I picked up the car, it was obvious nothing had been cleaned at all. The exterior was covered in dried water spots, and the interior had grass and dirt inside. It looked like it had been sitting untouched.

It honestly felt like once they knew I was coming from the Big Island, they assumed I wouldn’t come back to complain. That’s not how a professional business should operate. When a company focuses more on whether they can get away with cutting corners instead of delivering basic promised service, it’s a waste of the customer’s time.

I can’t recommend them.

We had the best experience! I went in to the dealership wanting to trade my vehicle, and John Kim got the job done. Such amazing service! He guided me through the whole process with ease and assured I was happy walking out the dealership. No pressure, full transparency, and he handled our situation with care. My overall recent experience purchasing a new car at Cutter Mazda was positive. Shopping for a car at a dealership is definitely not one of my favorite things to do.  Other reviewers are correct in that the process takes hours.  Nevertheless, sales representative John Kim, whose lighthearted nature, humor and respectful mannerisms, made the experience less stressful.  He seemed to understand our needs and was patient with us as we asked many questions and took a long time to decide on a car.  Encounters with the finance managers were also actually pleasant.  Thank you to the Cutter Mazda team who helped us.

John Kim greeted me when I drove on to the the lot, and started off with a great first impression.

When I wasn't sure where to park guided me to where the customer stalls are.

Super easy to work with, friendly, knowledgeable and never pushy.

Worked with me to get a price I was happy with.

The whole process was fast and painless.

Arrived around noon left a few hours later with a new (to me) miata.

Would 100% buy another vehicle from John and recommend him to anyone in the market for a car.

John Kim was absolutely amazing to work with! From the moment we stepped onto the lot, he made us feel genuinely welcomed and completely comfortable.
