Nature Trail

This composition began with the idea of a mountain stream and a bridge. Once the bridge was in place over the stream, because the stream is in the mountains where gold had been discovered at one time, small bits of real gold were placed under the water along with the ever present pyrite. The real gold was panned from the creek at my mining claim. Next, there had to be a way to get to the bridge. A path or trail was needed and of course boulders to direct the course of the trail. The boulders are from the mining claim also. They contain pyrite, galina and silver and some have a sprinkling of fine gold within them. One of the trees grew on the top of a high mound. A bench to sit and enjoy the scenery seemed fitting and so one was built and placed there. Then stone steps up to the bench were constructed. There was one thing missing; a place to stay the night and camp. A ways from the bridge and farther down the trail a circle of rocks were positioned to contain a camp fire and sawed off tree trunks were placed around the campfire for the campers to sit and enjoy their time with nature.
