I had just purchased a new Hyundai Elantra 2025 and my experience was over the top.

When I came in, I was greeted in a friendly manner from the staff and from Jazmin! She was great and very patient with me as this was my first car purchase.

The staff was all very supportive in my payments and were very open to what car I would like to have. Overall, Jazmin was amazing and knew exactly what I was looking for. I 100% recommend going here!

I bought a car here in August while waiting to get reimbursed for a previous accident. The salesperson recommended financing, saying that the interest wouldn’t be much since I’d be paying it off quickly with my check. I trusted them and bought a car.

Now, I find out that although I only financed $10,000, the starting balance was $14,000. The salesperson that the interest is included in 14k. When I tried to pay it off, the amount didn’t decrease as promised. Because of the salesperson’s ignorance about financing, I ended up losing like $3,500.

If I had known the interest would be this high, I would have just rented a car while waiting for the check. it would have been cheaper. The salesperson doesn’t answer any questions about financing.

Please don’t sell cars if you are going to compromise your integrity.

This is a warning. Don’t trust the salesperson :)

UPDATE: I had a great experience purchasing my vehicle at Downey Hyundai. Kenny, our salesperson, was very helpful from the moment we arrived, and his manager worked with us to get the deal we were looking for. This was the third Hyundai dealership we visited, and needless to say, we finally found and purchased the car we loved. We’ve been enjoying our new ride ever since!

However, I’m disappointed in how a post-purchase issue has been handled. The car I bought was pre-owned and already had tinted windows. A warning sticker placed directly on the window by the dealership got caught when the window was rolled down and tore the tint. I called as soon as it happened (9/4) to ask how it could be resolved, since the sticker was put on by the dealership. After multiple follow-ups and a visit to the dealership yesterday (9/15), I was told the only option was for me to pay for the repair because I “bought the car that way.”

This has been frustrating because:
•	The damage was caused by a sticker applied by the dealership, not normal wear and tear.
•	I was initially quoted for all four windows, then later told only one window at full price with no discount.
•	Communication was poor; I had to repeat the same information to the same individual several times over nearly two weeks to get a clear answer.

For a dealership with such great sales service, I expected the after-sales support to reflect the same standard. I’m disappointed that this issue could not be resolved with the dealership taking accountability.

Downey Hyundai was such a great experience! Clean, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. Kenny helped us with parking and ended up being our sales rep — he made everything smooth and easy. He found us the perfect Sonata Hybrid. Now I see why they’ve won so many awards!
