IKEA MORGEDAL Full Mattress (Light Use - Guest Bedroom)

The IKEA Morgedal is a discontinued, budget-friendly, all-foam mattress that measured about 6.25 to 7 inches thick. Overview & Specifications • Type: All-foam mattress (polyurethane and high-resilience support foam). • Thickness: Approximately 6.25 to 7 inches. • Firmness: Offered in Medium-Firm and Firm options, though reviewers note both felt significantly firmer than average (rating an 8+ out of 10). • Cover: Removable, machine-washable cotton-polyester blend cover with dark gray sides and a zipper. • Availability: Discontinued by IKEA and no longer sold new in stores, though occasionally found on secondary or secondhand marketplaces. Pros & Cons • Pros: Excellent motion isolation, very fast material response/bounce, lightweight and easy to set up, and budget-friendly when originally retailed. • Cons: Thinner profile lacks deep pressure relief for side sleepers, prone to feeling overly stiff, and limited durability/support compared to thicker, modern foam models. Current Alternatives If you are looking for a current foam mattress from IKEA, they offer newer models like the ÅKREHAMN Foam Mattress or ÅBROTTEN Foam Mattress, which feature multi-layer comfort zones and updated memory foam or high-resilience foam designs.
