The DeLonghi DDSE30, designed for small to medium spaces up to 400 square feet, is able to extract 30 pints of moisture per day and comes packed with a range of easy-to-use and useful features. It features an intelligent and efficient humidity control, making it easy to maintain healthy humidity in your space. All you have to do is set the desired humidity between 30% and 90% using the adjustable humidistat and then select Auto Mode. This results in the unit automatically selecting the most efficient speed (there are 3 speeds to choose from) to lower the humidity and then shutting off when the desired level is reached. There are two drainage options to choose from. You can either drain the DDSE30 manually by emptying the water tank yourself, or better yet you can automatically drain it by attaching a standard garden hose (a 3 ft. hose is included). To make sure that damaging overflows don’t occur an indicator tells you when the tank is full, if you are planning on draining the unit manually. Changing and viewing the dehumidifier’s settings, including the 24-hour timer, Laundry Mode (used to dehumidify a humid space quickly), relative humidity, and room temperature, is simple due to the unit’s high resolution display and easy-to-use controls. You can also easily see how much water has been collected due to the frontally located tank and transparent water level window. Other features include a washable air filter that neutralizes bacteria and traps allergens; an automatic restart function; a fan mode for ventilation purposes; and low temperature operation – 35.6 F, which is an excellent feature considering more expensive models have a minimum temperature operation of 41 F.
