Vintage Wright 1 Ton Improved Model High Speed chain hoist, made by Wright Mfg. Division, American Chain & Cable Co., York, PA, USA. Cast-iron housing with raised lettering on both sides, red lifting hook, and a long run of chain. It has a lot of character and the original patina. It's been hanging in garage and is in good shape for its age. Last used my my late father over 9 years ago and not tested since. It has surface wear and basic spots of paint loss. We haven't had it load tested or inspected by a rigging professional. It's being sold as-is, so please have it inspected before using it to lift anything heavy. Removal: The hoist is mounted overhead and is very heavy. The buyer must be able to take it down safely on their own and bring all necessary tools, equipment, and helpers.
