Description

Selling a heavy-duty Hobart 12-inch meat slicer (Model 1712, Serial 1885228). Circa 1978–1979.This is the legendary gear-driven era—built with rugged internal metal gears, NOT cheap rubber belts that dry-rot, slip, or snap under load. It powers through thick meats and dense cheeses without slowing down.Operation: Slides incredibly smooth and operates perfectly by hand as a manual slicer.Note: The frame is a 1712 automatic model, but the small automatic engagement lever underneath the carriage arm is missing. It is priced and sold as a manual machine.Blades & Adjustments: 12" stainless steel blade is sharp. Gauge plate adjusts precisely from paper-thin up to 1.25 inches.Cosmetics: Main external data plate is missing, but the serial number is verified. Vintage workhorse with typical cosmetic wear, but runs strong, smooth, and quiet.Perfect for restaurants, delis, home hobbyists, or deer hunters processing wild game. This is a heavy piece of equipment!
