The Traube pattern is known for its high quality, ornate decor, and durability. History of Nachtmann In 1834, Michael Nachtmann founded the F.X. Nachtmann glassmaking company in Unterhütte, Oberpfalz. In 1900, Zacharias Frank took over the company and moved the headquarters to Neustadt an der Waldnaab. In 2004, the Austrian crystal maker Riedel acquired Nachtmann. Since 2015, Nachtmann has exclusively produced crystal glass that does not contain lead oxide as its main ingredient.
