The photographs were produced by two documented American photographers: R.J. Stevens, 45 Pike Street, Covington, Kentucky, and J.A. Vasbinder, Grove City, Pennsylvania. Both studios were active during the late 19th century, and the decorative beveled cabinet cards and ornate advertising backs are consistent with this period.
