Chinese Export Rose Medallion Bottle Vase

Chinese Famille Rose medallion porcelain vase, likely from the 19th or early 20th century. Famille Rose, meaning "pink family" in French, is a style characterized by its use of opaque overglaze enamels, predominantly in shades of pink, with other colors such as white, green, and yellow. The vase wonderfully decorated in the traditional rose medallion color palette of mainly pink, green and orange, with additional yellow, blue, black, and gilt accents. The design follows the typical rose medallion pattern of alternating reserves of brightly colored birds among peony sprays, and court scenes of figures in traditional . Between the reserves is a dense floral and foliate design with scattered butterflies against a gilt painted ground. Lined with 14 karat gold . Wear consistent with age. No chips, cracks or repairs noted. Minimal wear to the gilding and enamels. Porcelain,Enameled,Fired,Hand-Painted circa the 1880. Hints of 14 karat gold. Origin is china asking $600 or best offer. Easily worth a couple grand. Doesn’t match my decor and it doesn’t have meaning to me I came across it buyin a storage unit.
