This NEC display was my main monitor for playing games, both Retro and Modern alike, and general Web Browsing. And, it's one of the few rare CRTs which feature an unlocked vertical frequency of up to 200Hz. (1920×1440p72Hz), (1600×1200p60Hz), & (1600×1000i200Hz) were some of my preferred resolutions for modern Gaming, depending on which game needed wide, or could accept high refresh rate. But 640×480 and DOS resolutions also looked great and very sharp from some of my older consoles. This particular display is currently working flawlessly with absolutely no issues. It has been serviced by me, it has obtained a complete recap, and with the help of a Service Bulletin, I was able to perform the additional corrections 370KE048 and 3A107002, and replaced thermal compound of some of the Voltage regulators. Prior to this, it was suffering from mild vertical collapse that is now fixed. I know a thing or two about Digital to VGA adapters & DACs. And can let you know which one will give you the best performance for your needs. Whether you're considering DAC, or an older Graphics card for your PC. CRTs are some special displays today, for those who aren't in the know, there is no modern replacement. Especially for Older and Retro games that were designed with these in mind. Picture quality can be phenomenal, motion clarity with synced content matches or exceeds the smoothness of even the best strobbed/BFI-enabled OLED displays (with less caveats at that), and ofc, The display's input Latency is actually non-existant, since no image processing is involved at all with this technology.
