Very disappointing experience. I called about a Tesla that was advertised at a great price, and after I spent time researching it and planning the purchase, I was told it had already been sold. It feels like the dealership leaves attractive listings online to get people to call. Whether that’s intentional or just poor inventory management, it wasted my time. I wouldn’t recommend driving a long distance without confirming the car is actually available.

The employees here were very helpful. Most of my experiences at dealerships were really bad where they put a lot of pressure on me to buy a car I didn’t want by bringing aggressive managers and staff. But at OC Chief there was no pressure it was the opposite.The staff are very friendly and want to make the customer happy. Joseph was the person that helped me pick out my new Tesla. Also there were no secret add-ons that we paid extra for. Also I was able to bring the Tesla back to take care of some small blemishes that I found and was taken care of.

I was a first time car buyer, and OC Chief was a very pleasant experience. Joseph took care of me, and I would highly recommend asking for him. I would say expect some fees on top of the price you see online, but I assume that is the case at any dealership. I think for buying used Teslas, OC Chief seems like the best option, and has some great value deals on used model 3's for people with a tighter budget like me.

Before coming in, I spoke with Ernie and explained that I would be driving about an hour to visit the dealership. Because of that, I expected clear communication and basic respect for my time once I arrived.

Unfortunately, when I got there, I felt like I was barely helped. I understand that a salesperson can be busy with other customers, but I was left waiting without clear updates or proper communication. Ernie said he was going to check the application, but I was not given a clear explanation of what was happening or how long it would take.

I also asked another sales representative for help, but she said I was Ernie’s customer and did not assist me. That made the visit even more frustrating because I had already driven a long distance and no one seemed willing to take ownership of the situation.

Overall, the experience felt unorganized and unprofessional. I left feeling like my time was wasted. Based on my visit, I would not recommend OC Chief Auto in Riverside to someone who expects clear communication and professional customer service.
