Description
This is a small desk/table I picked up recently and restored, with cast iron legs from a Treadle Sewing Table. Top measures at 35.5 inch long, 17 inch wide and 28ninch tall I dont have an exact age, but was able to narrow it down to about early 1900s. Its a Sears Robuck and Co stamped piece, which was only for a couple of years, made by Davis Co, and was most likely used for a Minnisota Sewing machine. It does not have the metal caster wheels on the feet, but it has the slots for them. After cleaning it I found various surface rust and paint chips, so I cleaned any rust off, and repainted the mechanical parts in satin Canyon Black, with a gloss clear coat. The lettering is done in Apple Red. The Treadle mechanics work very well, I made sure to lubricate them when putting it back together. The top appears to be solid pine, and had a bit of warping to it. I was able to take most of this out, and stained it with varathane Cabernet oil based. The center square is done with chalk marking paint, and clear coated. This means it has some texture to it. Feel free to shoot me an offer if interested. Thanks.
