Up for sale is a complete, era-correct vintage road bike drop handlebar and stem assembly removed from a classic 1970s retro ten-speed, making it a fantastic "all-in-one" cockpit upgrade for your Peugeot, Motobecane, or classic steel restoration project. This comprehensive setup features a vintage PIVO aluminum quill stem made in France, paired with a matching set of classic aluminum alloy drop handlebars wrapped in clean, textured black bar tape. Mounted directly to the assembly is a pair of vintage SunTour twin-lever friction stem shifters with black textured grips that pivot smoothly, alongside classic Mafac-style non-aero aluminum brake levers sporting iconic sunburst-pattern safety pivot caps and original rubber hoods. The entire kit is in good vintage condition with a nice authentic patina, showing only minor surface scratches and normal oxidation on the aluminum that can easily be polished up to a bright shine. Mechanically, the levers and shifters function properly, though the lower section of the quill stem shows typical insertion marks and surface rust that will be completely hidden inside your frame's headtube once installed. This setup is ideal for 1970s and 1980s steel lugged frames, and it comes complete with the attached brake and derailleur cables so you can easily adapt it to your vintage ride.
