Core Unit: Projector PH-652(A)/PFP-1 (16mm optical/sound film projector) Amplifier: AF Amplifier AM-424A/PFP-1 Speaker: Dynamic Loudspeaker LS-170(A)/PFP-1 Cases: Heavy-duty olive-drab metal and wood-reinforced carrying trunks/cases (such as Case CY-1364/PFP-1) designed for field transport Power Requirements: Runs on 105–129 volts, 50–60 cycles AC/DC, drawing roughly 1250 watts. Historical UseThe U.S. Army Signal Corps deployed these ruggedized projector sets during and after World War II through the early Cold War era for troop entertainment, training films, and informational briefings in field or base settings. Because the entire setup (including cases, cables, amplifier, and speaker) weighs upwards of 70 pounds, it was built heavy and strong to survive military logistics.
