Vintage Folk Art Carved Wooden Dog Moving Jaw Toy Articulated Lever Accent

A charming, unique vintage hand-carved wooden mechanical dog novelty piece. Styled with the elongated silhouette of a Dachshund or hound, this clever folk-art conversation piece is fully articulated. Pressing down on the single wooden lever at the back smoothly operates the internal mechanical linkage, causing the dog's mouth to open and close in a biting or barking motion, while its large floppy ears pivot on small pins. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid wood showing rich natural grain patterns and a warm, authentic aged patina. Features stylized crescent carved eyes and a wonderfully minimalist, mid-century modern aesthetic. A perfect decorative accent for a shelf, desk, or a unique addition to a vintage mechanical toy collection. Dimensions: • Height: 2.5 inches • Length: Approx. 3.5 inches (body only; 4.25 inches including the rear lever) • Width: Approx. 1.75 inches (ear to ear) Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The wood exhibits a beautiful natural patina with clean grains and no chips or cracks. The internal mechanical mouth linkage operates perfectly and smoothly, and the floppy ears move freely.
