Description

Vintage wooden German-style Erzgebirge hunter incense smoker (Räuchermann), approximately 40–45 years old. Traditional hunter figure with green felt hat, pipe, binoculars and a rabbit carried in a cloth game bag. This has been in my family since approximately the early 1980s. The original maker label was removed years ago, so I cannot identify the manufacturer. Very good vintage condition overall. The binoculars are intact and attached. The leather straps show age and are broken in two places where the missing wooden rifle would attach, there is a small scratch on the side of the base. Otherwise the figure, pipe, rabbit, clothing and hat are present and display nicely. Please see photos for detailed condition. The figure separates at the waist/base to hold an incense cone; smoke exits through the pipe/mouth. Pick Up in Pasadena
