vintage Shur-Ex fire extinguisher, likely from the mid-20th century. Helpful information: It is a model "Motor Guardian" manufactured by the International Fire Equipment Corp, Staten Island, N.Y. The extinguisher is torpedo-shaped and red, featuring a label with the "Shur-Ex" brand name. It uses a liquid to extinguish fires, contained in a glass blown, sealed bottle inside.
