1983 Volkswagen Vanagon

PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE REPLYING. 1983 VW Vanagon GL - Subaru EJ25 - 4-Speed Manual - $10,000 VIN: WV2YB0255DH104840 Clean WA title in our name. Roslyn, WA. Running/driving Vanagon project with Subaru EJ25 conversion, stock Vanagon 4-speed manual and 2WD/RWD. Engine runs very smoothly, transmission works great and heat works extremely well. EJ25 mileage unknown. Recently brought out of about a year of storage. Old fuel was drained, fresh fuel added and engine pre-lubed before starting. It started immediately, reached normal operating temperature with no leaks observed and drove very well. Odometer reads 210,833 but has been inoperative for years, so actual chassis mileage is unknown. This is NOT the mileage of the Subaru engine. Service records included. INTERIOR: Seats 5: two front captain's chairs and rear Z-bed/bench that folds into a bed. GL passenger van, NOT a Westfalia/pop-top. Newer headliner and wall panels. No A/C. Excellent heat. Pioneer single-DIN stereo with motorized touchscreen. Bamboo-style flooring is cosmetically rough and could use replacement. RARE FACTORY SLIDING STEEL SUNROOF: Large factory manual steel sunroof with original crank/mechanism. It moves partway but is currently misaligned/off track, doesn't fully open/close and is NOT watertight. No observed mold, mildew, soft panels or obvious interior water damage. Nearly-new fitted zippered full-van cover included. KNOWN PROJECTS: Rear body damage from backing into a tree. Substantial rear dent and rear hatch is currently inoperable. See photos. Previous paintwork wasn't high quality; there is flaking/bubbling and other cosmetic imperfections. Odometer is inoperative and wipers are slow. We're selling because we no longer have the space to store and work on it after the rear damage. This is NOT a restored/show Vanagon.
