My old setup when I was with COX (yesterday) - Netgear CM400 cable modem and ASUS RT-AC66U wireless router. I switched to a different carrier, and don't need these anymore. They work perfectly, and do not need to be reset all the time or have any other problems. It's a good, cheap way to get your internet. I have the ethernet cable to connect them as well. I am a networking professional, if you need help setting it up or setting up your wifi networks securely, for a few more dollars I'll be happy to help you out!
