Restored Vintage Gooseneck Desk Lamp — Inkwell Base, Gold Cloth Cord

Before task lamps were furniture, they were tools — and this one was the whole desk kit. A heavy cast base with an inkwell well and a pen rest molded right into it, a flexible gooseneck, and a deep dome shade. The maker is unknown; in the 1920s and 30s a dozen American shops built lamps like this — heavy, honest, and built to outlive the desk. This one got the full treatment: completely restored, a nine-step paint process sealed under a deep, glossy clearcoat — and the clear didn't stop at the paint. The flexible neck and the socket are clear-coated too, so the whole lamp wears the same warm copper glow. Finished with a brand-new gold cloth cord, because a lamp this pretty shouldn't plug in ugly. The inkwell and pen themselves aren't included — the well and rest sit ready in the base for whoever hunts down the right glass inkwell to complete the setup. Or skip the archaeology and just enjoy the best-looking task light your desk has ever had. Local pickup in Beaverton, Oregon. Payment: Venmo, Cash App, credit card, or cash.
