The interior of the book is crisp and clean, showing only wear on the hardcover and sleeve. The brown cloth covers are also clean, with wear visible to edges and corners. The gilt spine lettering is still bright. The dust jacket is good condition, with moderate wear overall, and folding visible at the top of the front panel. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: This is a large-format (10 ½ x 7 ½ inches) compendium of 25 stories illustrated by Gergely. Most were originally published as Little Golden Books (American), or as Golden Pleasure Books (British) between 1943 and 1967. Examples Richard Scarry's most entertaining material. Packed with fun and color, it covers a wide range of subjects. There are words, numbers, alphabets, fables, manners, safety rules, adventure stories, mother goose, rhymes, cars, planes, boats, trains, lots of nonsense, hundreds of animals and pages on color and flowers...
