Description
Alan Douglas Radio manufacturers of the 1920's Book overview This is the 2nd volume of a 3 volume set that covers the first decade of radio in the home. It features the start-up stories of almost 150 radio manufacturers in the U.S. and gives detailed data on the products they produced. It includes rare photos of the factories and hundreds of photos and magazine ads of their radios. Arranged alphabetically by manufacturer. Volume 2 covers Freed-Eisemann through Priess. Publisher Vestal Press; Volume 1 A-C Dayton to J.B. Ferguson edition (January 1, 1988) Table of Contents The success of the first volume of this three-volume series has established author Alan Douglas as a leading authority on history of radio manufacturing and development in America. Volume two extends the wealth of information through an additional 31 manufacturers, providing extensive detail regarding their products and their manufacturing operations. Volume three will cover the field from RCA through Zenith. Our modern electronic world is based on the developments of many early twentieth-century contributions outlined in this series. Today we are surrounded by electronic marvels at every turn, themselves probably only teasers for what will be available in the future. In this series Mr. Douglas provides the historical foundation for the study of this industry and how the manufacturing got its start. This book has water damage but did not damage the pages. Please review all photos as they are part of the description.
