Abstract Stacked Stones Canvas Painting

Original abstract painting in Acrylic by local Apex, North Carolina artist. Mid Century Modern color pallet on Gallery stretched canvas entitled, ‘Kennebunk River’. It was inspired by a walk in Hollowell, Maine along one of its tributary streams. It was magical. The old trees allowing only dappling light to play on the flowing water where ancient slabs of stone revealed themselves. It was a tradition to stack small stones creating natural sculptures. It was almost overwhelming to realize each one represented an individual, family or child.
