Vintage Chinese Hand-Knotted Wool Rug 9’ × 12’ – Sculpted Pile

Beautiful large vintage Chinese-style wool area rug that has been in my parents’ home for decades. Approximately 9’ × 12’ with a substantial, thick wool pile. The rug has an ivory/cream field with shades of blue, soft pink, taupe and beige. Traditional Chinese floral and vase motifs surround a central medallion featuring the Chinese shou (longevity) symbol. The design also features a wide decorative border and sculpted/high-low detailing that gives the pattern wonderful texture and dimension. My parents purchased this decades ago, but unfortunately I don’t know the original maker or retailer. There is no known maker attribution, so I am selling it based on its quality, size and condition rather than claiming a particular manufacturer.
