Beautiful vintage 1970's Norleans Japan hand-painted porcelain vase featuring green floral motifs with gold trim along the neck and base. Resembling mid-century Chinoiserie or Japanese floral styles with green and gold accents. Norleans was a brand of porcelain, china, glassware, and decorative items introduced in 1949 by the United China and Glass Company (UCGC). Origin: UCGC was founded in New Orleans in 1850 and began trading with Japan in 1932. Post-War Revival: The Norleans brand was created to revive post-World War II trade with Japanese manufacturers like Meito China. Legacy: The company was later sold in 1962, and the Norleans trademark officially expired in 1992. Dimensions: 14"H x 5.5"W Great condition.
