Antique Syrian Mamluk Revival Pierced Brass Moorish Floor Lamp – Delivery Included

The lead image is an AI-staged interior featuring the actual lamp. Additional photographs show the lamp as it is, including close-ups of the metalwork, construction and condition. Approximately 66 inches tall, with a 22-inch shade and 20-inch base. A substantial early Middle Eastern pierced-brass floor lamp with dense geometric, arabesque and calligraphic-inspired ornament associated with Syrian / Mamluk Revival metalwork. Decoration extends from the broad domed shade and crown-form top through the pierced column and architectural base. When illuminated, hundreds of openings throughout the brass cast warm light through the pattern. The shade features pierced and engraved interlacing geometric designs, floral arabesques, medallions and intricate ornamental bands. The same detail continues down the standard and base. The brass retains its aged, naturally varied surface and has not been aggressively polished. The lamp works beautifully. The deteriorated old power cord was replaced with a new gold cloth-sleeved cord chosen to complement the lamp. An older red fabric interior shade liner was removed because of its aged condition and to better show the pierced metalwork. The liner has been retained and will be included. Based on construction, decoration and comparisons with documented examples, I believe this is an early-20th-century Syrian or closely related Middle Eastern Mamluk Revival pierced-brass floor lamp. I have not found documentation allowing an absolute attribution to a particular workshop. A large-scale decorative-art piece suited to traditional interiors, eclectic collections or a Mid-Century Modern space. Price includes complimentary white-glove delivery anywhere in Western Washington, with no additional delivery charge. I will personally deliver the lamp and place it in its new location. Approximate dimensions: 66" H × 22" W at shade × 20" W at base.
