Don't let the downfall of this once prominent cultural focal piece dissuade you from this. The Game of Thrones Card Game is based on the books and has one of the most unique takes on card game play. Players procees through phases together, alternating plays rather than playing always 1 at a time. They select secret plots they will be enacting and engage in various military, espionage, and general boasts of power challenges. There are 8 houses total and all are very different. One of the best things is the game is played to a point total, rather than point loss, which means NO ONE IS EVER KNOCKED OUT OF THE GAME. So why am I selling? Because my playgroup is nowadays more cooperative than competitive and this games oozes with cutthroat competition. Included is the base game and several expansions and chapter packs. The whole thing can go.
