Description
Antique Henry Likly & Co. standing wardrobe steamer trunk from Rochester, New York. Full-size early 20th-century wardrobe trunk with original-style drawer system, patterned interior, hanging/wardrobe hardware, rails, compression mechanisms, maker’s badge, and heavy riveted exterior hardware. The trunk is structurally solid and remarkably complete for its age. All drawers open and the interior fittings and small hardware pieces are largely intact. The exterior shows substantial age, scratches, oxidation, and travel wear, which has been intentionally left untouched. The trunk has not been refinished, repainted, or polished. It also retains old Cunard baggage material with visible handwritten references to Aquitania, Aug. 24, Southampton, and New York, along with additional hotel/travel labels referencing Peking, Luxor, and Athens. These labels are being sold exactly as found and have not been separately authenticated. Excellent piece for: * Antique or vintage travel collectors * Steamer trunk collectors * Cunard / ocean liner collectors * Home, office, hotel, or restaurant décor * Photography or film prop * Statement storage/display piece $795 OBO Local Denver-area pickup only. Due to the size and weight, buyer should plan appropriate transportation. Exact dimensions will be added once the trunk is picked up.
