Description
This computer is sold locally in Henderson📍. You are also more than welcome to stop by and test it out in person. I would be happy to have a specific benchmarking program or popular game ready for testing— just let me know ahead of time. Quick Summary: This is the strongest build I have listed. A 13900K paired with a 5070 Ti handles 1440p and 4K without much thought, and the 5070 Ti is a current Nvidia card, so you get DLSS 4 and frame generation in the games that support it. The case is the white Hyte Y40 and I set the lighting to baby blue with pink accents throughout, but it can be set to your choice. This is a computer I bought second hand and from there I did a full teardown, cleaned, upgraded, cable managed, installed latest bios, installed windows/drivers/updates, and finally tested. 💻 Specs: CPU - Intel i9 13900K GPU - MSI Gaming Trio Rtx 5070 Ti (16GB) Motherboard - MSI MPG Z790 Edge Wifi (Note below) Ram - 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 at 6000MHz Storage - Crucial P310 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD (7100MB/s Sequential Read, Write up to 6000MB/s) Power Supply - Asrock Steel Legend SL-1000GW 1000W CPU Cooler - NZXT Kraken 240mm AIO in White (Thermalright contact frame installed) Case - Hyte Y40 White Fans - 7x Arctic Pros (6x P12 Pro 120mm — 4 forward, 2 reverse on Kraken Radiator + 1x P14 Pro 140mm bottom) Operating System - Windows 11 Pro (Activated) Upgrades: The power supply is a 1000W unit, which is far more than this build needs. That means if you ever want to drop in a bigger card down the road, you can do it without touching anything else — no new power supply, no new cables. The board takes up to 256GB of DDR5, so memory is an easy add later too. Ports and Connectivity: This is where the board separates itself. A normal gaming motherboard gives you two or three M.2 slots and six or seven USB ports on the back. This one has: 5x M.2 slots for NVMe drives (four still open), plus 7x SATA ports 10x USB ports on the back panel — 4 at 5Gbps, 4 at 10Gbps, one 10Gbps Type-C, and one 20Gbps Type-C 3 more on the front of the case — two Type-A at 5Gbps and a Type-C at 10Gbps (from the Hyte Y40) Spare internal USB headers still free if you ever want to add a front bay or an internal hub Intel 2.5Gb ethernet — not the 1Gb most boards ship with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 Realtek ALC4080 audio, which supports 32-Bit/384kHz playback on the front panel RAID support (0, 1, 5, 10) across both the NVMe and SATA drives If you run a lot of drives, capture cards, audio interfaces, external docks, or a big peripheral setup, you are not going to run out of places to plug things in. The one thing it does not have is Thunderbolt or USB4, so if you specifically need those, this isn't the board for it. Other Notes + Testing: The 13900K is a hot chip by design. It's on a 240mm liquid cooler with a Thermalright contact frame installed, which corrects the flex in Intel's stock mounting and drops temperatures a few degrees. It peaked at 91° during an hour of OCCT's Power test, which loads the processor and graphics card together harder than any game does. That's below where this chip starts throttling, so it held full speed the entire hour. In normal gaming it runs well under that. Power limits are at Intel's stock 253W for PL1 and PL2. It's not a silent machine when you push it but I set up a fan curve to keep it quiet during lighter tasks. There are minor scuffs on the case. Nothing structural, nothing that affects how it runs, and I'm happy to point them out in person or send closer photos if you want to see them first. The bios is up to date, including Intel's latest stability microcode for 13th gen chips. Drivers and Windows updates are current and tried to leave it as close to plug and play as possible. Windows has also been debloated for privacy and performance, but all changes are saved and can be reverted if requested. Wifi and Bluetooth are built into the motherboard, so no adapter or ethernet cable needed unless you want one. Testing done: OCCT "CPU + Ram", OCCT "Power", and 3DMark Time Spy Extreme benchmark along with the stress test. I have photos for all of these tests along with others so just let me know!
