Detailed description: The Patriot Voice is an easy to use reading system designed for the visually impaired and blind. This system allows you to convert printed material to speech so that you enjoy books, magazines, printed mail, and much more.   Sound quality is the single most important feature in a reading system. This is why the Patriot Voice includes built-in stereo loud-speakers, producing high quality sound at all volumes.   From the first push of the scan key, the Patriot Voice comes alive and encompasses you with classical background music while it is recognizing the printed page. Each soft control button has its own unique shape for quick reference. In fact, the basic use of the Patriot Voice can be accomplished with only two buttons. The round button activates the scan and read, and the triangle button allows you to pause and resume the reading aloud.   Three access buttons are located on the bottom right of the Patriot Voice. Activating the first button will read aloud the pertinent section of the user manual. Pressing the second button allows you to select another voice or even another language (option sold separately).
