Description

Lightweight Aluminum/Carbon Trek 2300 frame and fork from around 1991. A good example of Trek's early work with carbon fiber, made in WI, USA! 61cm large frame, in ok shape, some paint chips and scratches, well used, but structurally sound, and priced to move. 6.2# with frame and fork. One of the bottle cage studs on the seat tube is stripped, but could probably be re-threaded. Bottle cage studs on the down tube are good. It will include a Diacompe Aheadset aluminum headset, not in the best shape, but cleaned up and ready to re-install. Headset fits the 1" threadless steer tube, and will include the cap bolt. It will also include a standard square taper bottom bracket and the aluminum clamp front derailleur mount, as well as the seatpost bolt. Takes a 27.2mm seatpost. Made in USA frame with lots of life left, pictures almost have a bluish tint, but this thing is full on 90's purple! For 700c wheels, 128mm rear dropout spacing, so could fit older 126mm hubs (5, 6 and 7 speed), or modern 130mm hubs (8, 9, 10 and 11 speed). I left the internally routed rear brake cable in place so you can pull a new housing through (pictured). This would be a good project, I also have some other parts available that might get you a good start on a rebuild. I thought I'd build it up, but I need the space. $20 obo, email thru app, text or call Joe - 3O3-886-628five. In SW valley, but might be able to meet somewhere convenient.
