Vintage Jozefina Krosno 16" Amethyst Glass Jellyfish Octopus Pedestal Bowl

For sale is a striking, extra-large vintage hand-blown art glass "Jellyfish" (or Octopus) statement pedestal bowl, crafted by the renowned Jozefina glassworks in Krosno, Poland. This is the highly sought-after 16-inch tall format, which commands a magnificent presence compared to the smaller, more common table versions. It features a deep amethyst purple bowl that rests beautifully atop seven hand-drawn, clear-and-purple trailing glass arms or tentacles. The pedestal foot anchors the piece with a matching, distinct concentric purple-and-clear swirl motif. Because each piece is entirely handmade, it exhibits the beautiful hallmarks of artisan mouth-blown glass, including a smooth fire-polished rim, graceful leg attachments, and occasional tiny trapped air bubbles that add to its watery, organic charm. Dimensions (Approximate): • Height: 16.5" • Bowl Diameter: 5" • Base Diameter: 4.5" Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or flea bites. The glass is clear with no heavy clouding or hard water staining. Please review the high-resolution photos to appreciate the excellent craftsmanship.
