These are the anecdotes of George Fredrick handell and john christopher smith . This book is absolutely amazing . It has three (3) pages that are out of binding one single on the second subscribers page ii . Also, pages 19-22, which are actually one solid sheet as if its in the middle of a book . You can see where one of the owners unknowingly tried to tape the binding on the publishers page. However, this seems to be an easy clean up . The outside of the book on the edges and on the binding the leather is worn down to the material . All these things, in my opinion, do not do much as far as depreciation. This book is still quite beautiful but then I have played piano since six and I understand that it is one of the masters , well now I know that there were actually two masters behind these compositions ; which are also greatly a part of all musically starts . They are history. This book is looked up and they referred me to the royal libraries which I then emailed and they stated they were not aloud to give me a price but they suggest that i seek an appraiser or book and musical antiquarian . So I have heritage auctions. Though they thought it amazing g and interesting, it did not in tbere opinion meet the 5000 for auction but around the 2500 mark . They had pictures so the condition was inuded in this . I have emailed case auctions as well to see if they have another opinion . While waiting on that, however , I had a thought that since the book is 226 years old . I would list it at 10 dollars for every year. Thus, the price of $ 2260. 00. Whether or not u are a collector or a musician or a historian or if you are a combination of all three, this is a wonderful edition and a great conversation piece cruelly magnificent
