Frederick Banting and his assistant Charles best developed the FIRST successful insulin treatment by experimenting on dogs. Banting's dog Marjorie was kept alive for 70 days. In, 1921 they Successfully Isolated Insulin from the pancreas of dogs which was then used to treat diabetic dogs. WIN NOBEL PRIZE IN PSYSIOLOGY AWARDED 1923
