This Generac GP6500 portable generator is a reliable source of power for both home backup and recreation. With a powerful OHV engine and a tank capacity of 7.9 gallons, it can run for up to 11.5 hours at 50% load. This model also includes the optional CoSense that will cause the generator to shutdown if it senses carbon monoxide levels are too high. Please note that this item is not for sale in California due to state regulations.  I purchased this generator a few weeks ago from ACE Hardware for $900, but unfortunately (unknown to me at the time of purchase) it doesn't meet the specification requirements for charging my home backup batteries. I'm therefore having to sell it. I’ve listed it as open box but I have run it. The engine has 1 hour of run time on the clock, but it really is like new. I can confirm that it does generate power, so all is working correctly. The operator's manual and oil fill funnel are included.  The item still has its tags on it. All the photos are of the actual generator (no manufacturer photos).  I cannot ship because of the weight of the item, so it is local pickup only.
