1986 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set

Identification The item shown is a 1986 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set (commonly known as a Mint Set). Packaging: It features the original U.S. Mint cellophane packaging with the characteristic blue stripe for the Philadelphia mint coins and the red stripe for the Denver mint coins, accompanied by the informational insert card. Contents: The set includes a complete uncirculated run of regular-issue coins from both the Philadelphia ("P") and Denver ("D") mints: Philadelphia Mint Pack (Blue Stripe): 1986-P Cent, 1986-P Nickel, 1986-P Dime, 1986-P Quarter, and 1986-P Half Dollar. Denver Mint Pack (Red Stripe): 1986-D Cent, 1986-D Nickel, 1986-D Dime, 1986-D Quarter, and 1986-D Half Dollar. Valuation Market Factors: Because the U.S. Mint produced millions of these sets during the 1980s, they are relatively common today. Their value is generally modest, driven primarily by current collector demand, the pristine uncirculated condition of the coins, and whether the original mint packaging and envelope remain intact and undamaged.
