Description

$195 OBO Vintage Vandersteen Model 1B floorstanding speakers in very good overall condition for their age. Consecutive serial numbers 8770 / 8771, so these are an original matched pair. Both speakers are fully working and sound excellent. Tweeters, mids, and woofers all play cleanly with no buzzing or distortion. Rear tweeter level controls work properly. Cosmetically they present well overall for their age. The brown fabric has been cleaned with some slight discoloration remaining in spots. The wood top/bottom caps are in nice shape with normal age-related wear. One speaker has a small hole in the top fabric panel, clearly shown in the photos. Classic Vandersteen sound — very natural, smooth, spacious, and easy to listen to. Local pickup in Tempe. You’re welcome to test them before purchase.
