Etalon Indicating Micrometer With Original Stand

What I have for sale is an original Etalon indicating micrometer in near mint condition. Soon after being removed from its original packaging it was placed in its cast iron stand and sat atop of a shelf for years untouched. It reads in increments of .00005” and needs just a brief wipers. Parallelism and flatness of contact point and anvil are great.; you can verify for yourself. The overall accuracy for Etalon indicating micrometers is .0001” throughout its entire span of 1 inch. If you are looking for a higher accuracy when checking the outer diameter of something, use a high precision gauge block as your standard. The micrometer also has a steel locking handle which are no longer manufactured. They are built with a plastic locking handle which normally fail after many months of use. This would be perfect for a machinist or quality technician who works with high precision parts. This micrometer by itself sells for 1200 and up without the base.
