Description
June Flaum Singer’s novels are about triumphs, tragedies, love, and a whole cacophony of what happens in adulthood and in families. Taking her readers through decades and generations of families (and sometimes just one family), she provides insights into the lives of women and men of the elite of the United States and Europe. She follows her characters as they enter into marriages they should never have, fight their in-laws, have children, and generally make bad decisions. The novels have it all - cheating and lying, molestation, excessive religion, nervous breakdowns, brainwashing, secret babies, abortions, kidnapping, incest, abandonment, and family political power plays. Singer's stories have so much crammed into them readers are engrossed right from the first page to the last. This lot includes Singer's first novels: The Debutantes (1982) Star Dreams (1983) The Movie Set (1984) Books are in good condition, considering their age. The books are well-read but there are no missing pages. There is no writing or highlighting of text. No rips, tears, folds or creases of text. Spines are intact. Dust covers are included, which show wear. Pick-up in La Verne, CA near White and Foothill Blvd. Cross-posted. Shipping available at buyer's expense.
