Binding: Octavo (9” Tall x 5.75” Wide x 1.75” Thick). Contemporary black cloth with gilt stamping on the spine. Some wear to the binding. Provenance: Gift inscription on the verso of the first blank, reading: “To Alec: Murray esq. in token of highest esteem and best wishes, from Geo: Moore.” Collation: Complete, lacks only the folding plate facsimile. An extra feature found only in this edition is the complete publisher's catalogue at the rear. Leaf Condition: Leaves are approximately 8.75” Tall. VG+, very clean for its age! The text is crisp and dark throughout, with fantastic margins overall and really nice thick paper. Aside from that, the first blank, half title (trimmed), and the title page have ex library stamps (the only three stamps present), the leaves are slightly browned, with very minor chipping or tearing. Foxing to the early leaves and last three leaves. Some leaves are working loose. Occasional penciled marginalia. Despite these flaws consider the fact that you can finally have your very own first edition of this extremely rare New Testament! Additional photos are available upon request.
